InTime Software Expands Asian Distribution Network
Names Maojet and I&C Microsystems as Distributors in Taiwan and Korea
CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 28, 2002--InTime
Software, an EDA Company, today announced the expansion of its Asian
presence with the addition of distribution partnerships in Taiwan and
Korea. Maojet Technology Corporation represents InTime in Taiwan and
I&C Microsystems is distributing InTime products in Korea. InTime
products enable front-end designers of ASIC, ASSP and SOC designs to
inject accurate physical layout parasitics into their RTL code.
"The addition of Maojet and I&C Microsystems further strengthens
InTime's ability to advance into key markets," said Arklin Kee, vice
president of business development for InTime Software. "Along with
Innotech in Japan, these two new partners' broad experience and proven
track record of developing and servicing EDA customers will be a
crucial component of InTime's success in Asia."
Maojet is the leading EDA distributor in Taiwan and has strategic
relationships with Taiwan-based ASIC design-services companies and
their related foundries. I&C Microsystems works with world prominent
semiconductor firms based in Korea. The company manages ASIC Design
Services Centers and supports customers' complex IC design efforts by
supplying cutting-edge EDA tools to the Korean market.
InTime's design tools, Time Architect(TM), Time Planner(TM)
(formerly named DesignArena(TM) and DesignWarrior(TM), respectively)
and Time Builder(TM) provide front-end design engineers with earlier
insight into the physical aspects of their designs. Time Architect
estimates chip size and power and then generates an architectural
floorplan prior to any RTL being written, and Time Planner and Time
Builder give designers early access to design parasitics through
floorplanning at the RTL and gate-level. This is a revolutionary step
toward achieving timing closure before synthesis for deep submicron
ICs as it allows designers to pass more accurate information into
synthesis and place and route systems. InTime products integrate into
Cadence Design Systems (NYSE: CDN - news), Synopsys (Nasdaq:SNPS - news) and Avant!
(Nasdaq: AVNT - news) design environments.
